Core copywriter crafting long-form scripts for a recurring live show, generating millions of views on Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok Live.
QVC MADE MODERN
Galaxy Live is one of Cheil's longest-running projects for Samsung. It's reminiscent of a modern QVC, built to sell devices and entertain. It's had many iterations over the years, and as our team of copywriters took over, we had one goal: to break barriers and reach new audiences. In 2025, we achieved 32 million views, broadcast 826 shows, aired 49,204 hours, and reached a #1 global ranking of Galaxy Flip7 and Fold7 live commerce views.
As a core copywriter, I was entrusted with scripting complicated segments, cooking up fresh ideas, hammering out humorous scripts, conducting device demos, and more. I led the way by creating a wardrobe inventory system, crafting props by hand, guiding makeup and wardrobe professionals, leading talent searches, and overseeing live shoots by remaining on set to man the prompter, make quick copy changes, assist with props, and help the director. I became an expert at writing long-form copy for platforms like YouTube, Twitch, and even TikTok Live.

my favorite child
Of course we pick favorites. Allow me to shine a light on an excerpt from my personal favorite script I’ve written. I turned a zoom lens demo into a humorous moment and a play on the concept of growing up. This work won me the highest compliment from Paige, the actress who’s starred in hundreds of our shows. She said this was the funniest segment she’s read with us, and I’ll be holding onto that for a long time.
Wild not mild
These two videos are examples of our wilder streams. Compared to the last video, you can really see how this program evolved. Our audience showed us they were ready for more fun. Engagement skyrocketed, and more people than ever before were staying longer than seven seconds, which is kind of a big deal in the 20th century. The chat was flooded with enthusiastic comments — people loved what we were doing.
Below, you’ll see a durability test conducted by the world’s leading scientists, baby raccoons. And of course, an 80s workout montage serving looks with a side of Samsung health.
TikTok Live came in hot, and we were up for the challenge. Writing for TikTok was different from other platforms. The audience was younger, the content had to be quicker, and most of all, our opening show was nine hours long, right before Thanksgiving.
We copywriters had a tough job. To accommodate the stream’s length, we wrote the scripts to be flexible, adding structure to demos and loosening things up in other areas by scripting talking points for the actors to jump off of. By the end, this script looked totally different from any of our others, and it was so worth it.
We also wanted a gaming influencer to come on and tell people about how amazing Samsung devices were for gamers, right on time for Black Friday, of course. But this person also had to be a tech expert. And even more so, they had to be able to riff for hours and handle a live show with composure. It goes without saying — that’s not your everyday influencer. I led a talent search and scouted @peachietech, a girly-pop gamer and Samsung extordinair who was a total expert on tech and gaming. She offered a fresh perspective and performed incredibly on our show. The live broadcast didn’t scare her, and she brought the best energy. I patted myself on the back for this find.
For wardrobe, I stuck with fall vibes and sourced looks in an autumnal palette with gold, maroon, and pink accents. Peachie is all about the pink, so I wanted to give her something that felt authentic. She was a big fan of her sweater, so I won that round, too.
The consensus? TikTok Live is nothing to be scared of. Especially with an amazing team of writers, actors, and influencers on your side.
